TOD Markets granted an ASIC Tier 2 Australian Market Licence

TOD Markets has been granted a Tier 2 Australian Market Licence, formally recognising the TOD Markets trading system as a licensed Australian financial market.

The licence covers a market in energy and environmental derivatives for wholesale participants.

Australia’s Tier 2 market licensing framework applies tailored regulatory obligations to financial market operators based on the nature, scale and complexity of the market they operate.

For TOD Markets, the licence represents an important step in the development of independent Australian market infrastructure for OTC energy derivatives, combining electronic execution and price transparency within a regulated market framework.

TOD Markets will continue expanding its product set and market infrastructure while operating within the governance, supervision and reporting requirements applying to an Australian market licensee.
